Princess Sabra Quatrefoil Nail Art

Voici aujourd'hui un nail art inspiré du motif "quatre-feuilles" que l'on retrouve beaucoup en architecture et décoration. Il est facile à recréer à l'aide d'un bon dotting tool. J'ai utilisé le vernis Princess Sabra (Tristam Eyes) de A-England, qui est légèrement holographique, et pour le noir, la teinte BK901 de la marque coréenne Face It. Ce dernier contient des mini particules irisées vert et violet. Première photo au soleil, et deuxième à l'ombre, sans flash.

Here's today a quatrefoil nail art I made using a good dotting tool, Princess Sabra (Tristam Eyes) from A-England and for the black part, a korean brand called Face It (BK901). Picture above taken in the sunlight, and under in the shade, without flash.

Pacman Nails Featuring Cheïma

J'aime aussi faire les ongles des autres, et comme je suis partageuse, je vous montre les trucs sympas que mes copines me demandent de leur faire! Voici donc aujourd'hui la manucure très années 80 de Cheïma, qui m'a réclamé la star des jeux vidéos de l'époque: Pacman!

I also like to do other people's nails, and since I like to share, I'll show you the nice stuff my girl friends ask me to paint on their nails! So, here's today the 80s mani I did for Cheïma, who asked me for the video games icon: Pacman!

J'ai adoré peindre les petits fantômes qui sont toujours aux trousses de Pacman, et surtout leurs yeux! J'ai utilisé deux vernis Impala pour les faire, Jackie (taupe) et L'Amore (fuchsia). Pour le blanc et le noir, ce sont deux vernis OPI, Alpine Snow et Black Onyx.

I really loved to paint the little ghosts, above all their eyes, it truly amused me! I used two Impala polishes to paint them, Jackie (taupe) and L'Amore (fuchsia). I used OPI for black and white (Alpine Snow and Black Onyx).

Pour les points rouges, je les ai d'abord délimité en blanc puis j'ai utilisé un rouge grenat brillant (Ludurana Faiscante) pour les recouvrir. Je les ai réalisé à l'aide d'un vieux pinceau à maquillage dont j'ai trempé le dos dans mon vernis.

To draw the red dots, I first did white dots, then covered them with a scarlet polish (Ludurana Faiscante). I used an old make up brush and dipped its back into my polish to make the dots.

Même procédé pour Pacman: je l'ai d'abord dessiné en blanc puis recouvert avec un vernis jaune (Claire's). Normalement Pacman n'a pas d'oeil mais Cheïma a tenu a rajouter ce détail. Voilà, c'est très facile à faire si vous avez un pinceau fin, et très sympa comme résultat!

Same process for Pacman: I first drew it in white and then covered it with a yellow polish (Claire's). Normally, Pacman doesn't have eyes, but Cheïma wanted me to add this little detail. And that's it! Very easy to do if you have a thin nail art brush, and very nice to wear on your nails!

Owls in Love Nail Art

Aujourd'hui, je ne ma laisse pas abattre malgré le fait que mon ordinateur portable soit très certainement HS et je profite que le chéri soit sur la console pour piquer le sien! Comme ce sont les vacances, j'ai enfin eu le temps de faire le nail art qui me turlupinait depuis deux semaines déjà... Voici donc mes fameux hiboux amoureux:

Je précise que je soumets ce nail art à un concours organisé par la très talentueuse Sarah de Chalkboard Nails (lien vers son concours ici), n'hésitez pas à aller voir car vous avez jusqu'au 5 mars si l'envie vous prend de participer! Le thème du concours est le Dotting Tool (d'où les petits points partout!).

Voici les couleurs que j'ai utilisées:
-Orly Charged Up (pour le violet)
-Sinful Colors 24/7 (pour le rose fluo)
-Impala L'Amore (pour le rose fuchsia)
-Nivéa Calcium Power Gold Orange
-OPI Alpine Snow (pour le blanc)
-OPI Black Onyx (pour le noir)
Concernant les "outils", comme je n'ai pas de dotting tool, j'ai utilisé la tête d'une épingle à cheveux (pour faire les points) et un cure-dents (pour faire les détails).

Above are listed the colors I used. As for the tools, I used the tip of a bobby pin for the dots and a toothpick for the tiny details.

Comme vous l'avez peut-être constaté, j'ai dessiné un hibou femelle sur ma main droite (oui oui, elle a des cils!) et un hibou mâle sur ma main gauche (il est plus grand et son bec plus long). J'ai utilisé des stickers holographiques de chez Peggy Sage (une petite lune et un petit coeur dans une bulle de BD) et j'ai ajouté des points blancs qui font penser à de la neige (car oui, c'est l'hiver! Mais pas chez nous:).

As you can see, I drew a female owl on my right hand (she has eyelashes!) and a male owl on my left hand (he's taller and his beak is longer). I also used Peggy Sage holographic stickers (a little moon and a little heart in a cartoon speech bubble) and I added some white dots because it made me think of snow (yes, it's still winter, but not here where I live!).

J'adore le rendu de ce nail art même si ça n'a pas été facile de dessiner sur ma main gauche. Un petit bémol seulement concernant les stickers: si vous passez trop de top coat dessus, la couleur rose se mélange à votre vernis transparent et comme il y a du blanc en fond ça se voit bien... :(

I love how this turns out on my nails, even though I had a hard time drawing on my left hand (I'm lefty). The only bad outcome is with the stickers: if you put too much top coat on them, the pink color will mix up with your transparent polish, and because they're over white polish, it shows... :(

Retro Dots Nail Art

Voici aujourd'hui un nail art que j'ai réalisé il y a longtemps déjà, mais je le trouve toujours aussi sympa. C'est un design proposé par la célèbre Luxurious Nails (lien ici vers le tutorial). Je pensais au départ poster ce nail art pour Noël, vu les couleurs dominantes, et comme je suis partie, je n'en ai pas eu le temps. J'ai donc redécoré les photos, mais aux couleurs de la Saint Valentin cette fois-ci, car j'ai pensé que ça pouvait tout à fait être porté à cette occasion (pour quelqu'un qui souhaiterait quelque chose de plus discret ou plus neutre que les petits coeurs partout).

Pour ma version de ces petits points rétro, j'ai utilisé une base fuchsia (même si ça ne se voit pas bien sur les photos) avec mon vernis Impala L'Amore, puis du blanc pour les plus gros points (O.P.I. Alpine Snow), et enfin un vernis argenté pour les points "libres" (Impala Perolado Prata). J'ai réalisé les gros points avec une épingle à cheveux, et les plus petits avec un cure-dents.

Hey everyone, just a quick post today to show this design I did ages ago and inspired by the great Luxurious Nails (link to the tutorial here). I did exactly the same except for the color, I chose fuchsia instead of red. I used mostly Impala polishes (Perolado Prata and L'Amore), and O.P.I. Alpine Snow for the white. I thought this design could be a nice more neutral mani for Valentine's Day, for girls who don't really like to wear hearts on their nails (or sleeves!:)

Twisted Polka Dots Nail Art

Aujourd'hui, je vous propose un nail art très simple et sympa que j'ai trouvé sur Youtube, réalisé par JulieG713 (le lien ici). Vous avez juste besoin de 2 couleurs, du blanc (O.P.I. Alpine Snow) et du rose (Bourgeois 1 Seconde). Après avoir protégé vos ongles par une base transparente, posez votre rose (2 couches), puis votre blanc (cette fois je n'ai pas utilisé de guides). Pour faire les points, si vous n'avez pas de dotting tool (comme moi), faites comme dans la vidéo et utilisez un cure-dent. J'ai fait les plus gros points avec une épingle à cheveux. Terminez par une couche de top coat et voilà!

J'ai cependant ajouté une variante pour mon annulaire, j'ai posé une couche de blanc et j'ai collé un sticker de chez Claire's (Bling nail stickers). je vous en reparlerai dans un autre post, car ces petites choses sont difficiles à appliquer!

Today, here's a very simple and nice nail art that I found on Youtube, made by JulieG713 (link here). All you need is some white (O.P.I. Alpine Snow) and pink (Bourgeois 1 Seconde). After having protected your nails with a base coat, apply some pink polish (2 coats) and then some white on the tips (I didn't use guides this time). If you don't have a dotting tool (like me), do just like in the video and use a toothpick. You can also use a bobby pin fot bigger dots (like I did). Top coat and you're done!

I changed the pattern though for my ring finger, I applied a white base and the a sticker from Claire's (Bling nail sticker). I'll tell you more about them in another post, as they are note that easy to apply!

Blue Monarch Butterfly Nail Art

Aujourd'hui, voici un nail art que j'ai adoré et que j'ai réussi à porter 3 semaines avant qu'il s'écaille! Etant une grande fan de papillon (et ici en Guyane, on est gâtés!), j'ai voulu m'en inspirer, et j'ai trouvé un tutorial (cliquez!) très bien fait sur Youtube de la talentueuse italienne Elena Eris (et le lien vers son blog est dans la bloglist sur la droite).

J'ai utilisé une base blanche (O.P.I. Alpine Snow) puis j'ai appliqué 3 bonnes couches de vernis bleu ciel (Impala). Pour ajouter une touche pailletée, j'ai terminé ma base avec un vernis rosé transparent à paillettes Maybelline (Colorama glossy Tutti Frutti).Une fois sec, j'ai dessiné les détails à l'aide d'un stylo dessin pour ongles (Claire's) et j'ai terminé sur le bas de l'ongle avec un liner noir (Peggy Sage nail art). Ensuite, pour les points blancs, j'ai utilisé 2 ustensiles de la vie courante: un cure-dent pour les petits points, et le bout d'une épingle à cheveux pour les plus grands (déposez une goutte de vernis sur une feuille et trempez-les dedans). Et enfin, n'oubliez pas votre top coat et voilà!

Today, here's a nail art I totally loved and I even managed to wear it for 3 weeks without chipping it! Being a great butterfly lover (and here in French Guiana we are blessed with them!), I wanted to get inspiration from it and I found this great tutorial on Youtube from the talented Italian Elena Eris (and you can find a link to her blog in my blogroll on the right hand side).

I used a white base (O.P.I. Alpine Snow) and then I applied 3 solid coats of sky blue polish (Impala). To add a litlle glitter touch, I finished my base color with a pinky glittery transparent polish from Maybelline (Colorama glossy Tutti Frutti). Once completely dry, I drew the details with a nail art pen (Claire's) and I fiished the black design with a liner for the bottom of the nail (Peggy Sage nail art). Then for the white dots, I used 2 common objects from everyday life: a toothpick for the small ones, and the tip of a bobby pin for the bigger ones (drop some polish on a sheet of paper and dip them into it). Finally, top coat et voilà!

Pour celles qui n'avaient pas remarqué, c'est cette photo qui s'affiche dans la barre d'onglets (en Favicon)...
