Incoco Zig Nail Appliqué Manicure

Voici aujourd'hui un nail art pour lequel j'ai voulu tester les patchs ou nail appliqués de chez Incoco et m'en servir de base pour les couleurs de ma manucure. J'ai donc utilisé le motif Zig que j'ai eu en échantillon, et j'ai ajouté du mauve et du bleu de la collection Mariah Carey pour OPI (Liquid Sand), Can't Let Go et Get Your Number.

Today here's a nail art I made using Incoco nail appliqué Zig as a base, and adding OPI Mariah Carey Liquid Sand collection Can't Let Go and Get Your Number for matching colors.

The Carey Pedicure

Une fois n'est pas coutume, c'est de nouveau une pédicure que je vous présente aujourd'hui (ah bon?), étant un peu flemmarde pour décorer mes mains (ouh la vilaine!). J'ai voulu tester mes dernières nouveautés, et voici le résultat:

Once again, I'm going to show you a pedi today, as I'm a bit lazy to paint my hand nails... I know, it's not right, right? I wanted to try my new polishes, and here's the result:

Il s'agit d'une ruffian manucure (ou plutôt pédicure!) avec, pour le pouce, un petit sourire de strass à la base de l'ongle. Pourquoi l'avoir alors appelé "Carey Pedicure"? Hé bien pour commencer, parce que le vernis violet vient de la collection OPI Mariah Carey, et s'appelle Anti-Bleak. Je l'aime beaucoup, c'est un violet profond et à la fois qui tire légèrement sur le bordeaux. Et le vernis de base, le gris qui tire sur le taupe, c'est le fameux Zoya Carey! Je trouve que ces deux-là vont très bien ensemble.

I did a ruffian manicure (or pedicure to be more precise!) with some extra rhinestones at the base of my big toe. Why the name "Carey pedicure"? First, because the purple polish is from the Mariah Carey OPI collection, and is called Anti-Bleak. I really like this color, it's a deep rich purple that has a slight burgundy touch. The other polish used as a base, is actually Zoya Carey! Hence the name... it's a grey polish but for some reason it looks a bit taupe on my toes (but not in the bottle). I think these two make a perfect combination!

Sur cette photo prise avec flash, on voit bien mieux le petit côté bordeaux ou lie-de-vin de ce vernis violet. Pour les strass, j'ai essayé de faire un dégradé de couleurs, partant du violet foncé au centre, puis mauve clair, rose et enfin argenté. Je trouve cette pédicure à la fois simple et élégante, et elle est très facile à réaliser! Voilà, à bientôt :)

In the picture above, you can see the burgundy touch I was telling you about. As for the rhinestones, I did a kind of gradient, starting with deep purple in the middle, then light purple, pink and finally silver. I find this pedi simple and chic, and the good thing is that it is very easy to make! That's it for now, see you soon :)

Nouveautés / New Stuff + Swatch OPI Liquid Sand Can't Let Go

Voilà, comme je vous le disais il y a quelques temps, j'ai quelques nouveautés à vous présenter. Et comme je ne suis pas avare, je vous offre en prime le swatch d'un de mes nouveaux vernis! Voici donc ce qui vient agrandir un peu ma collection:

As I told you a little while ago, I have some new stuff to show you. And since I'm a very nice girl, I have swatched one of my new polishes as a bonus! Take a look:

Comme vous pouvez le constater, j'ai craqué sur la collection Mariah Carey de OPI, et plus particulièrement sur ces nouveaux vernis texturés baptisés Liquid Sand, que j'ai voulu tous essayer! J'ai donc opté pour le pack de mini-vernis, qui est tout mimi! Il y a 4 teintes: Get Your Number (bleu), Can't Let Go (violet), The Impossible (rouge) et Stay the Night (noir). Je n'ai pas voulu bouder les autres vernis de la collection, et j'ai donc pris également A Butterfly Moment (un nude irisé) et Anti-Bleak (un joli violet crème). Je n'ai pas acheté Sprung, ni Pink Yet Lavender, que je trouvais moins attirants. Ensuite, j'ai jeté mon dévolu sur 2 Zoya, d'abord Tracie (le vert) et Carey (le gris). Tout le reste sur la photo m'a été gentiment offert par ma copine Laure (qui ne me gâte jamais assez!) pour mon anniversaire: une bouteille de Seche Vite, un vernis A England (Princess Sabra, holographique), un double dotting tool, des plumes pour nail art et des water decal très rétro pop! Waow!

As you can see, I literally couldn't resist the Mariah Carey OPI Collection, and especially those new textured polishes called Liquid Sand, I wanted them all! So I bought the mini set, which is really cute. There are 4 shades: Get Your Number (blue), Can't Let Go (purple), The Impossible (red) and Stay the Night (black). I also wanted to try the regular polishes so I bought A Butterfly Moment (a shimmery nude) and Anti-Bleak (a nice cream purple). I didn't buy Sprung nor Pink Yet Lavender as they seemed less appealing. After that, I wanted me some Zoyas, so I went for Tracie (green) and Carey (grey). Everything else that you can see on the picture was a really nice gifgt from my really nice friend Laure, who, once again, treated me a late present for my birthday. She got me some Seche Vite, an A England polish (Princess sabra, a lovely holo), a double dotting tool, some nail art feathers and some retro pop water decals... Waow!

Et voici comme promis un aperçu de Can't Let Go un des Liquid Sand de OPI. La texture est matte et très légèrement granuleuse (mais pas du tout désagréable au toucher), et le vernis s'applique très facilement. Vous pouvez mettre deux couches, l'effet Liquid Sand n'apparait une fois le vernis très sec. Can't Let Go est un violet contenant des micro-paillettes argentées et mauve clair, ainsi que quelques plus grosses paillettes des mêmes couleurs. Pas de topcoat si vous souhaitez garder l'effet texturé.

As promised, here's a glimpse of Can't Let Go, one of the Liquid Sands by OPI. The texture is matte and a bit sandy (but very nice to touch), and the formula applies very easily. You can wear 2 coats, the texture will turn matte once it's very dry. Can't Let Go is a purple with light purple ans silver micro-glitters, but you can notice a few bigger glitters as well, in the same colors. Don't add topcoat if you like to keep the Liquid Sand effect.

Ce vernis a une très bonne tenue, je l'ai gardé une semaine sans topcoat! Voilà, je vous laisse avec des photos prises avec flash, et vous dit à bientôt!

I wore this polish for 7 days without topcoat, and it didn't chip! Here are some more pictures with flash, and as for me, I'll see you soon!

OPI Black Spotted Easy Gradient Nail Art

Et voilà, j'ai décidé de retester ce fameux vernis OPI qui se négocie maintenant presque à prix d'or, le célèbre Black Spotted (dont j'avais fais la présentation ici). Cette fois, j'ai voulu l'essayer avec des couleurs flashy, un peu poussée je l'avoue par cette manucure de Cutepolish, qui explique en fait comment arriver au même résultat (ce visuel "troué") sans avoir ce précieux vernis. Enfin bref, voici mon résultat final (qui est moins bon que celui de Cutepolish, je  dois bien l'avouer):

That's it! I've decided to try again my precious OPI Black Spotted, which is now really complicated to find if you haven't had to chance to stumble upon it. I first introduced you to that polish here. This time, I wanted to try it upon bright colors, probably because I really liked Cutepolish's video, explaining how to get the Spotted look without using the so-called polish. Anyways, here's how it turned out on me (Cutepolish's version is still way better!) :

J'ai commencé par faire un dégradé du rose au mauve, mais pas un truc à l'éponge qui prend des heures, non, j'ai voulu cette fois la jouer simple. J'ai donc d'abord appliqué une couche de vernis blanc (pour faire ressortir les couleurs), puis une fois sec, j'ai aligné mes couleurs horizontalement, du rose fluo au mauve foncé, directement avec les pinceaux des vernis. J'ai terminé par une couche de topcoat pour être sûre que la texture serait la même sur toute la surface de mon ongle.

I started first with a pink to purple gradient, but not something long and complicated with a sponge, no, I really kept it simple. Therefore, I began with a white base coat (to make the colors pop out), and then once dry, I aligned my colors horizontally, from neon pink to dark purple, directly with the polish brushes. I finished with topcoat to be sure that the surface of my nail would be completely even and the texture alike.

Le rendu jusqu'à présent est très sympa, j'aurai volontiers pu porter cette manucure telle quelle et ça m'aurait bien plu! Voici les vernis utilisés:

-Yves Rocher Rose Sorbet
-Kiss Brush On Nail Art Soft Purple
-Orly Charged Up

The result looked really good so far, I could have worn this mani just like this and I would have loved it! Polishes used listed above.

Voici la même photo prise en extérieur et sans flash (la précédente étant prise avec flash), juste pour le fun et parce que j'adore cette manucure avec ce petit cupcake tout mignon! Je ne vous présente pas ma main gauche, car j'ai encore eu de la casse!

Above is basically the same picture but taken outside and without flash (previous pic with flash), just because I love this combo (bright mani + cute cupcake)! I won't show you my left hand because another nail broke!

Le lendemain, j'ai appliqué le vernis OPI, en couche très très fine, en faisant bien attention de ne pas repasser deux fois au même endroit. Le rendu est quand même très différent de ce à quoi on s'attend (on imagine un genre de "vernis gruyère"), car les "trous" ne sont pas toujours bien ronds et l'aspect fait un peu huileux. J'ai terminé par une ultime couche de topcoat (j'ai testé mon nouveau China Glaze Fast Forward), et voilà!

On the next day, I applied the OPI polish, in a very very thin coat, without going over the same spot twice. The result is really different from what we expect (we imagine some kind of "gruyere cheese polish"), as the spots ar not always round and the overall aspect looks oily. I finished with topcoat (China Glaze Fast Forward), and that's it!

Mon avis reste toujours assez partagé sur ce fameux Black Spotted, je pense qu'il faudrait le tester sur d'autres types de vernis (pailletés ou holographiques) pour vraiment voir son potentiel. Quand au topcoat China Glaze, il sèche très vite comme le Sèche Vite, mais j'ai l'impression qu'il s'écaille très vite aussi! Affaire à suivre... Voilà, je vous laisse, mais je vous reparle très vite d'une très très bonne surprise! A bientôt ;)

I'm still quite reserved about Black Spotted, I think I should test it over holo and glitter polishes to make up my mind. As for China Glaze Fast Forward, it's a really fast drying topcoat for sure, but also very fast chipping! Or so it seems... Spring Floral Nail Art

Aujourd'hui, voici une super déco que j'ai réalisé sur mes pieds, pour changer! Je m'excuse d'avance car mes petits petons ne sont pas super beaux, ils sont secs et mes ongles de gros orteils sont malades! Depuis plusieurs randonnées d'affilée lors des dernières grandes vacances, j'ai eu des bleus sous les ongles, qui se sont transformés en champignons, et ils sont coriaces! Voilà, je referme la parenthèse cracra... :)

Here's today a really nice nail art that I did on my toes! I apologize right away because my feet are dry, not that cute and on top of that, my big toe-nails are sick! I had bruises under them due to intensive hicking during the last summer, and they turned into fungi... Well, I now officially stop talking about such crappy things... :)

J'ai donc opté pour un look floral, coordonné avec le retour du printemps (même si chez nous, ce n'est pas vraiment le cas, disons qu'il pleut moins donc on voit un peu plus le soleil!). A cette période de l'année, on trouve beaucoup de tutoriels et d'inspiration sur le net autour des fleurs, avec des couleurs pastel ou fluo. Voici un lien ici vers une manucure qui m'a inspiré ce nail art.

I wanted to try a floral mani (or pedi!), just in time for Spring (even though  here in French Guiana, we don't really have  seasons, let's say that we are currently having less rainy days and more sunny days!). Floral designs are really popular this time of the year on nail art blogs, and many different tutorials are available. Here's the link here to a nail art that inspired me for this one.

Voici les vernis que j'ai utilisés:
- Impala Zaz (base)
- Essie Jam n' Jelly (fuchsia)
-Impala L'Amore (fuchsia foncé / dark fuchsia)
-Wet n' Wild Embrasée / Blazed (corail / coral)
- Impala Saia Justa (rouge / red)
- Colorama Verde Palmeira
- Sally Hansen Ivy League

Nail polishes used listed above.

Pour réaliser ce nail art, rien de très compliqué! Après avoir appliqué la base, il suffit de dessiner des fleurs ou des moitiés de fleurs à la main, avec le pinceau du vernis, tout simplement. Ensuite, on "remplit" les fleurs en ajoutant une couleur plus foncée dans leur coeur, et on ajoute quelques petits points noirs au centre, une fois que tout est bien sec. Pour ce faire, j'ai utilisé un nail art pen (ou stylo dessin pour ongles) de chez Claire's. Enfin, on ajoute des feuilles, à faire au pinceau fin, en mettant d'abord la couleur foncée, puis la couleur plus claire par dessus. Et voilà!

This nail art is really easy and simple: after your base, paint some flowers (or half flowers) with the brush of your polish. Fill the "heart" of the flower with a darker color, add some dots with a nail art pen, and use a thin nail art brush to add some leaves, first with a dark green, then with a lighter green. And that's it!

J'adore vraiment ce design (je le porte toujours), et je compte bien le refaire, sur les mains cette fois. Il fonctionne avec tout un tas de couleurs et donne un effet vraiment très chic avec de belles chaussures. N'oubliez pas le top coat pour pouvoir le porter le plus longtemps possible.

I really love this design (still wearing it), and I'm definitely gonna try it on my hands next time! It can work with a variety of colors and it looks really chic with nice shoes on. Don't forget the top coat to wear it as long as possible.

Revlon Not So Blueberry + Glitter Nail Art

Aujourd'hui un petit mix tout simple de vernis sur mes petits petons, dans les tons que j'aime: mauve!

Here's a quick post today to show you a simple combo I did on my toes. 

J'ai utilisé un vernis Revlon: Not So Blueberry, qui a la particularité de sentir la myrtille (comme son nom l'indique!) une fois sec! Par dessus, j'ai ajouté un vernis pailleté acheté chez un chinois (de la marque Dear'Lee). Voici ce que donne le vernis Revlon seul:

I used Revlon Not So Blueberry as a base (it actually smells blueberry once dry!) and I added some glitter from an unknown Chinese polish brand (Dear'Lee). Here's how the base looks on its own:

C'est un mauve clair un peu glossy, qui sent très très bon! Malheureusement, si vous mettez un autre vernis par dessus (ou du top coat transparent), l'odeur ne reste pas.

It's a  shiny light purple that smells really good! But if you add another polish (or topcoat) over it, the smell will just go away.

Mon vernis pailleté contient 3 formes de paillettes mauves hexagonales, et comme vous pouvez le voir, une paillette "intrus" s'est incrustée: il y en a une verte sur mon 3ème orteil!

My glitter polish contains 3 different sizes of purple hexagonal glitters, and as you can see on the picture above, an odd one is actually on my third toe: it's a green glitter!

Vous pouvez ajouter ou non une couche de top coat, c'est vous qui voyez!

Add top coat if you wish, it's up to you!
